Wow!!........

It's been a whirlwind since my first DVD entitled DOWN AT THE TOOL SHED (copyright 2008) came out this April! As a matter-0-fact, I literally crawled into a hole once all 1060 copies arrived on my doorstep! I was flat-out pooped!!! So many months of decision-making and deadlines.....UGH!..... WOW!!!!!!!!!!!................you just can't imagine. At some point I will highlight the "whirlwind" in more detail - for anyone who really cares to read about it. To me, truly, it's been like "catching one BIG dream"............o.k., I know it might seem Corny....I mean, this is kids stuff but........it was lights, camera action........FOR REAL! So.....kid's stuff or not, it was hard work! It's been so cool to actually see the pieces of this project all come together! To hold a dream in my hand (the DVD) and actually watch it on TV!!! There were so many key players involved in helping me pull this one off! Everyone from family and friends to Penn College of Technology's staff & students to wonderful community supporters........ .....another WOW and another BIG THANKS to everyone out there who helped me!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully you too will eventually understand why I'm so proud of the finished product - DOWN AT THE TOOL SHED - my first children's DVD!!! WA-HOO!!!.......we finally did it!!!!

6/23/08 -Took another "brave hop" today (used some of Tasha the Tool Girl & Freadie the Frog's advice!) and met with someone very important to public TV! Hm.............not letting the cat out of the bag yet.....but I'll just say this...........I'm going to continue hopping until someone out there helps me reach a larger audience! Yes.......the TV audience! Watch out Wiggles......here comes Miss Allie and Tasha the Tool Girl! More later!!!

DVD highlights!

The DVD includes (3) EDU-TAINING episodes packed with the TIPS, TOOLS & TUNES kids need to SUCCEED! It's appropriate for pre-school to elementary age children. The DVD comes with a tie-dye tool belt. The Educator's Guide is also available and includes lesson guides, coloring pages, song sheets and a WAY-COOL paper tool belt template! (click on episodes for FREE preview!)

Episode 1~DOWN AT THE TOOL SHED: (see demo) Tasha the Tool Girl teaches kids the tip~"Always be ready to learn new things and have fun!" She also gives kids a tool belt to keep handy at all times. Miss Allie wraps it up with the catchy DOWN AT THE TOOL SHED theme song!

Episode 2~FROGS: (see demo) Miss Allie is asked by a little boy to write him a song about frogs. So Tasha the Tool Girl gives her the important tip, "when an opportunity knocks, just be like a frog and take a BRAVE hop!" Tasha sends Miss Allie to the Expert, Chad Peeling from Reptiland who gives her the frog facts she needs to write her FROG song! Freadie the Frog and the little peepers sing along with Miss Allie when she is brave and sings her frog song down at the frog pond.

Episode 3~CHASE YOUR DREAM: (See demo) Tasha brings Miss Allie's HERO Abe Lincoln through the time machine to teach kids to "Always have a dream to chase!" He also teaches them the DREAM CATCHER STEPS! Miss Allie has some special helpers join her on her "Chase your dream" song at the end of this episode!
